Monsoon has arrived and brought a sigh of relief to everyone but your furry buddy is not too happy but restless.

As a pet parent you too are restless as you know that when it is raining cats and dogs, you got to take extra precautionary pet care because the pets are susceptible to rain-related diseases especially in the area of skin and coat infections.

Always Keep him Clean and Dry

During the monsoon, there is also a rise in humidity and that makes the kittens' skin damp and itchy. The only way to keep your cats and dogs safe from these unwanted skin problem is to groom him daily with a natural dry shampoo since water bathing is not advised in the monsoon.

Protect the Paws of the Pup.

Paws are one of the most vulnerable zones to catch infections. Once back from a walk, make sure you clean the paws of your pet with hot water and use a hairdryer after the wash.

Check Ears and Coat, Often

Ears and coat of your pet must be checked regularly for any signs or symptoms of infection as it is where it all starts. It's always better idea to cure an infection in the very beginning and avoid bigger problems later.

Keep a Regular Grooming Routine

Regular dog grooming or cat grooming would not only keep them clean and hygienic but help you to discover if he/she is suffering from itching allergy, wounds in the skin or under the coats or any infections. Once in a week, clip his nails without fail.

Give him Boiled Water Only for Drinking.

It’s always a good idea to keep things clean and sanitised. If you’re boiling water for yourself to drink, no harm in adding some more for your pawed pal.

Whenever during the rainy season, you are taking him out for a stroll, cover him with rainwear The idea is to keep him dry always as the wet skin only leads to various skin and coat disorders.

Create a Secure, Dry and Clean Space for his Stay

Provide him a clean and safe place ( free from flies and insects) with dry cozy bedding . Give him a goodnight hug and you have made it to keep your pet safe and secure from any disorder relating to pet skin and coat in monsoons.
